Early Life and Career

Wardell Stephen Curry II, better known as Dell Curry, was born on June 25, 1964, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech and was a standout college basketball player, leading the Hokies to the National Invitation Tournament in 1986.

NBA Career

Curry was selected 15th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 1986 NBA Draft. He spent two seasons with the Jazz before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets, where he would spend the majority of his career. Curry established himself as a sharpshooting guard known for his three-point prowess.
